At this stage of the design process, we came up with three different things we could add to the site to hit our goals for the redesign. We wanted visual aesthetics and practical improvements above all else. This way, the core of the site would remain the same, as to maintain its historical integrity, while also getting more attention as a park where people can go to relax. We decided on three major improvements to be added: an amphitheater, a pavilion, and boulders that would be reminiscent of Boulder Park, and Frederick Law Olmstead's Central Park. With these, as well as other equally important improvements such as waste bins and benches, we could give new purpose to the site while maintaining the existing character of the site. The spatial use diagram and section cut were designed by my partner. The hand-drawn sketches, the 3D isometric drawing, and the Adobe Illustrator map were designed by myself.
